Onlookers were left amazed as a pocket of lava splurted out of Guatemala's Fuego volcano on April 10.

Chelsey Mori managed to capture the moment lava was spewed metres into the air and crashed back down on the slopes of the fissure vent.

She said: "It was a magical moment to witness and hear the eruption of Fuego. Seeing red lava crystals burst out of the volcano was the cherry on top. It was truly a memorable experience. I started as a solo hiker and left with nine friends!

"It was a tough hike, to be honest, very uphill, but well worth the pain and fatigue."

'Chelsey Mori caught an impeccable scene on camera on April 10, 2021, after she had climbed the Fuego volcano in Antigua Guatemala.

In this clip, the erupting volcano is shown spewing lava abruptly, a sight resembling that of exploding fireworks in the sky. What's even more fascinating to look at is the formation of red lava crystals sliding down the mountain.
