Road rage as car pushes a van onto the hard shoulder.

I was travelling north on the M5 between J2 and J1 near West Bromwich. Not thinking anything of it a noted the transit van driver drive past me then hold his arm out of the window. As a Volvo driver Carne level with the van there seemed to swerve into the path of the Volvo intentionally. This led to the Volvo driver taking their own actions in way of trying to side ram the van out of lane one several times and finally succeeding to push him into the hard shoulder. Once the Volvo driver has got in front of the van, they then hit the brakes known as a brake check. Whilst I held back this action caused myself to brake too. The Volvo driver then happy with their efforts off followed by then van. It’s unknown if anything else happened further down the carriageway.

It’s worth noting that half a mile before the video starts the M5 had been down to one lane due to an earlier accident and emergency repairs were ongoing to the central reserve causing two lanes. Whether or not the drivers had an argument as three lanes merged to one at the start of the emergency roadworks was a factor in also unclear.

Time stamp is one hour slow. Forgot to change last month.
