A camel was rescued after being stuck in a swamp for almost two days in Rajasthan, northern India.

Footage from April 19 shows local villagers using rope to haul the distressed animal from the muddy pit.

After a four-hour operation, the villagers and forest officials managed to free the camel from the swamp.

The animal had fallen in the swamp on April 17.

A Camel stuck in Swamp for Nearly two days was finally rescued by forest department with the help of villagers . The camel which fell in Swamp on 17th April Evening was rescued on 19th April after 4 hours of Marathon rescue operation .

The rescue happened in Lodiya village of Pratapgarh district in state of Rajasthan . There was water and swamp in the pit and even after lots of effort by camel it was unable to come out and getting slipped again and again when trying to come out . When some villagers got the information that a Camel is stuck there they immediately rushed to spot and informed the forest department also .

According to forest officials the camel was too much tired as he was trying to come out from long hour … It was not an easy task to rescue it out as camel was unable to stand properly . We used Bamboo Wood and thick ropes to rescue the camel out , due to swamp the operation was tough as camel was getting slipped . But after 4 hour long rescue mission we finally got success to rescue the camel out .
