Fisherman accidentally catches pelican
A video has emerged of a fisherman accidentally catching a pelican on his line in Echuca, Vic, Australia.
The footage, show by a bystander earlier this year, shows the fisherman pulling a fish with his rod before realising that a pelican is also caught after it tried to get to the fish itself.
The man has to bring the bird to shore and untangle it before he's able to release it.
According to the filmer, the fish he was after "got away" thanks to the distraction and the pelican was safely released.
