Joggers wore face masks in a park in Bangkok, Thailand, today (April 21) following a surge in Covid-19 cases in the country.

Footage shows the runners enjoying the green surroundings at the Lumpini Park in the centre of the capital, while following some of the social distancing and face-covering guidelines believed to stop the spread of the pandemic.

Thailand and neighbouring Cambodia have both seen spikes in the number of daily Covid-19 cases in recent weeks following an outbreak at upmarket strip clubs and bars in the Thong Lor area of the capital Bangkok.

There have been suggestions that the cluster is due to Thai dancers being shipped across the border to work in casinos catering to wealthy Chinese in the city of Sihanoukville.

Cambodia has now recorded 7,444 Covid-19 cases and 49 deaths as of April 21 while Thailand has suffered 45,185 cases and 108 deaths.
