This farm in Hanoi breeds Siamese fighting fish in thousands of tiny bottles.

Tran Ngoc Thang has been breeding the Siamese fighting fish, also know as betta, for over 20 years.

The farmer squeezes the fish into the small, discarded bottles. The fish cannot be kept together as they will fight.

Thang sells the fish for prices ranging from $4 to $10 USD, depending on their colour and rarity. He raises around 5,000 betta fish each year.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thang in Hanoi, Vietnam uses more than 2,000 used glass and plastic bottles to raise the fighting fish for sale.

Thang has been breeding Siamese fighting fish, also known as betta fish, for more than 20 years in Vietnam.

Taking advantage of discarded glass bottles, Mr. Thang cut the neck of the bottle used to breed and raise the fighting fish. Each animal is kept in a separate bottle.

According to Mr. Thang, the fighting fish characteristics are very strong, aggressive, so they cannot be kept together, they will fight and die. That's why, when started growing up, he put each animal in a separate bottle.

Taking advantage of discarded waste bottles and jars not only saves farming costs but also is very convenient in the care process. Which saves a lot of money and time.

When fighting fish grow up, it will cost from $4 to $10 / fish depending on color, beauty and rarity. On top of other fish species, Thang raises around 5,000 betta fish a year.
