A team from the local cemetery reached a COVID-19 patient's house upon being informed that no local came forward to take his body to conduct the last rites in central India's Madhya Pradesh on April 23. The incident took place in the Rampura ward region, located in the Sagar district.

Visuals feature the cemetery workers reaching the deceased's residence. They wear their personal protective equipment (PPE) kits and get geared up to carry the body to the graveyard. Later, the team transports the body to the cemetery and rightfully conducts the last rites.

Belonging to the Islamic community themselves, the cemetery workers under the leader of the cemetery community chairperson, Irshad Khan, rushed to Ullas Parkar's residence, where a person had died due to COVID-19. Upon the refusal of others to help, the cemetery workers took it upon themselves to conduct the deceased's last rites following the pandemic guidelines.
