Around 2,500 gathered in Trocadero Plaza after it was announced Sarah Halimi's killer would not stand trial.

France's highest court ruled he was not criminally responsible because he had smoke marijuana before the crime in 2017.

The ruling that the murderer could not be tried caused anger among the French and the international Jewish community.
