This Alaskan malamute takes her job extremely seriously as she guards her owner's chickens.

Sojou is filmed watching over a couple of chickens as they tucked into a meal in Pointe-Claire, Canada.

The filmer said: "Our 3-year-old Alaskan malamute Sojou has strong prey instincts. I was determined to prove that she could be trained to guard our chickens. It has been a careful introduction for the past nine months.

"She now can be trusted in the garden with my two hens. This is especially important since we no longer have our rooster Nugget on guard duty."
