The Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip confirmed today, Tuesday, that the escalating events in the occupied city of Jerusalem are a "battle to prove national sovereignty" in light of the escalation of Israeli settlers' attacks and daily assaults against Palestinians in the city.
Representatives of the factions participated in a support stand called by the "Follow-up Committee of the Palestinian Factions", in the Square of the Unknown Soldier in the center of Gaza City, in support of the gift of Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem and against the escalation of Israeli attacks against Jerusalemites.
During the support stand for the Jerusalemites,
a member of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ahmad al-Mudallal, in his speech on behalf of the Palestinian factions, called for the formation of a unified national leadership to lead the popular resistance that works to support the Palestinian masses.
In his message to the people of Jerusalem, he said that they are not alone and that the resistance in its various formations is present in the field, stressing the importance of agreeing on a unified national strategy that works to protect Palestinian rights and adheres to national constants.

The military arms of the armed Palestinian factions in Gaza launched various rocket-propelled grenades towards the cover settlements in the largest number in more than a year. This was a message from Gaza to our people in Jerusalem that you are not alone and that Gaza is with you with its missiles and resistance to defend you and the land and sanctities.
