Police were unable to sit this one out as, on the M60 motorway in Manchester, northwest England on Friday (April 23), a huge sofa fell off a pickup truck in this bizarre clip.

Newsflare's member describes the unusual couch trip: "A pickup loses an insecure sofa from the rear of its bed and it spills onto the M60 motorway and lands on its castors spinning down the motorway at 56mph.

"Off-camera it hits an HGV, another pickup told the original pickup what he had done but he carried on and ignored him.

"The HGV caught up to the pickup that lost the sofa and angrily flags him over to stop on the hard shoulder.

"It caused huge delays in the area for a long time whilst things were cleaned up by the police."
