Chinese pupils evacuated from school as chlorine leaks from nearby water supply plant
Pupils were evacuated from a primary school after chlorine leaked from a nearby water supply plant in eastern China.
The video, shot in the city of Changzhou in Jiangsu Province on April 28, shows clouds of chlorine engulfing the sky after leaking out from a nearby water supply plant when it was being dismantled.
Children in a nearby primary school felt sick and were vomitting.
According to the parents, they received the notification to evacuate their children after they just sent them to school.
The chlorine leaked after a small disinfectant storage tank broke during dismantle work.
A professional team is taking measures for emergency repair and nearby people who did not feel well were sent to hospital for a check-up.
