The relatives of a female patient carried her body in a hand-cart after she was denied medical services in central India's Madhya Pradesh on April 27. The incident took place in Patharia, located in the Damoh district.

Visuals feature a group of mask-clad men carrying the body of the deceased on a hand-cart. One of them guides the cart while the others walk behind it. Later, a man expresses his distress over the situation and explains how the hospital staff denied service to them.

The woman, identified as Kalawati, was unwell for two days and went to the hospital for treatment. However, the medical staff there had their hands full with the COVID-19 patients and denied their services to her. Following this, her condition worsened, and she succumbed to her suffering.

However, even after her demise, the hospital did not arrange an ambulance for her last rites. Following this, her relatives carried her in a hand-cart to the crematorium to conduct her last rites because they could not afford to hire an ambulance themselves.
