A German man and his transgender girlfriend was arrested for allegedly dealing meth in Thailand’s Sin City.

Claus Mike Haberstroh, 59, and Panadchai Noo-chit, 29, were caught in an entrapment operation set by the police who pretended to buy crystal methamphetamine from the couple in Pattaya on April 25.

Police said they seized 39.2 grams of meth from the couple’s apartment, two mobile phones which were allegedly used for drug dealing, and 300,000 Baht (7,923 Euro) in cash allegedly obtained from their sales.

The couple allegedly bought their supplies from the Thai wife of a notorious ‘Hells Angels’ motorcycle gang member which they then sold to locals in the city.

Their customers allegedly contacted them and sent the payment to Claus’ bank account before they were taken to the couple’s house to pick up the drug.

Police Colonel Dulayaphat Techaphonchayasit from the raiding team said that the ex-pat used to work as a taxi driver in his home country before moving to Thailand upon retire to live with his ladyboy girlfriend.

He said: ‘Claus was a truck driver who resided in Pattaya City after retirement and lived with his girlfriend before they decided to run a drug business.

‘His girlfriend obtained the meth from a Thai woman married to an international gang member living in the city. We’re investigating those and will catch them.’

The couple was remanded in police custody after they were charged with selling, possession, and using illegal drugs.
