A doctor in Bắc Kạn, northern Vietnam, removed a live butterfly from a man's ear.

Footage from April 25 shows the doctor pulling the insect from out the patient's ear.

Doctor Dong said that the butterfly was causing the man pain as it was scratching his ear canal.

According to the doctor, Dr. Dong said the patient came to his clinic and said an animal had entered his ear while he was on the road.
The animal is attacking the ear canal and is causing the man very pain.
The doctor quickly examined and found a live butterfly flapping its wings repeatedly in the man's ear canal.

Soon after, the doctor picked the butterfly out of the man's ear. The butterfly has slightly scratched his ear canal.

The man was surprised to see the butterfly. Perhaps the butterfly wanted to seek shelter and thought the man's ear canal was a cave.

The doctor said it was rare for a butterfly to enter a man's ear while he was traveling on the road. Perhaps it clung to his ear and burrowed inside to hide. The doctor said that the man should use a helmet when traveling on the road in the dark to avoid insects.
