Authorities cremate 33 COVID-19 patients in a single day in central India

At least 33 people died while receiving treatment in central India's Madhya Pradesh on April 28. The incident occurred in the Sagar district.

Visuals from the incident feature the burning pyres in the cremation grounds of the region. The relatives of the deceased mourn the loss of their beloved family members from afar as the authorities in personal protective equipment (PPE) kits carry out all the rituals according to the COVID-19 protocols.

As many as 33 COVID-19 patients died while receiving treatment in the region, leaving the cremation grounds running continuously due to the increasing deaths from the virus.

Moreover, a team of 12 members from the Municipal Corporation, including Pahlad Raikwar and Kuldeep Valmiki, is working tirelessly to carry out the funeral proceedings according to religious beliefs and rituals, as directed by the district authorities.
