Students take part in May Day protest in Jakarta
Workers are arrested by the police while holding a demonstration to commemorate International Labor Day or May Day in Jakarta, Saturday (1/5/2021). Thousands of workers and students took to the streets to stage demonstrations demanding demands as freelancers for small wages or salaries. During a demonstration, thousands of student workers were dispersed by the police because they would crowd out to avoid the spread of Covid 19. The safe workers are suspected of being the proponents of the labor day action. In addition, police officers also secured students who did not have a permit to carry out a demonstration.
