Concerned, angry residents and London mayoral candidates, David Kurten, Laurence Fox and Farah London attended a Low-Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) demo today outside Islington Town Hall (May 1) ahead of the election next Thursday.

The traffic-reducing scheme implemented to prevent cars using residential roads as rat-runs has been a contentious project, with some boroughs deciding to already scrap the scheme.
Campaigners say it has increase air-pollution through idling traffic, with journey times lengthened by double or triple the time. They also claimed emergency services are delayed by tje measures potentially leading to life and death situations. Disabled residents and black cab drivers spoke about their negative experiences of the scheme.

If elected all candidates promised to remove LTNs from the borough.
