Orthodox Christians mark the second Easter holiday and celebrations under pandemic restrictions - Orthodox Christians around the world are observing the holiday of Easter for the second time under conditions of the global pandemic. Most of the worshipers in Thessaloniki Greece were seen wearing masks during Easter service to reduce the transmission of the virus, while fireworks light the sky on Saturday night. Pascha celebrations this year as among Orthodox Christians everywhere can be characterized by two words: `muted' and `hopeful'. There were less people in the streets and in the churches than in the years prior to the pandemic and fewer candles burning, bells ringing, and even fireworks resounding between hills and apartment buildings, but at least congregations were present. Orthodox Easter services filled with hope though COVID precautions are still in place.
