This astrophotographer based in Netanya, Israel, used his telescope and camera to capture stunning timelapses of the sun's surface.

David "Deddy" Dayag filmed for over five hours to form a timelapse of the sun's surface on April 30.

The second clip shows a timelapse of a sunspot on the star's surface that was filmed on April 24.

Sun active region
I took this timelapse of the sun yesterday from my backyard using a refractor and Daystar Quark
It is aprox.
5 hours of imaging (first half is in BW).
This active region has reached the edge of the sun and soon will disappear from our view.
This is the longest I've imaged in one session!

This video is zoomed in on 2 active areas on the surface of the sun, showing their movement over two hours.
the first part is slower and the second is 4x faster to better show the way they morph.
