Shocking CCTV footage captured a man attacking a young boy at a park - before being battered by the child's angry mother.

Nine-year-old Xiao Bao got into a fight with another boy, Hao Hao, while playing outside.

Hao, also nine, ran home in tears and told his father, Ruan Feng, 41, about the brawl, who decided to sort the matter out himself.

Feng went to the park where he was filmed beating Xiao before picking him up and throwing him onto a wall.
The horrifying video shows him then push the child into a pond in Shiyan, in central China’s Hubei province.

As the boy is standing there bemused in the water, the footage then captures his mother, Xiao Tan, 38, jump to her son's defence.

Wearing an orange jacket, she hits him with a plank that breaks into pieces.

But, after the man fought back, she called the police and Feng was arrested.

After officers watched the footage, he was fined £50 and ordered to spend 15 days in jail for the attack on the boy.

挨了打的小宝吓坏了，可谁想到阮某还不解气，竟然将小宝扯到小区内的水池边，大冷天的就将孩子扔进了水池里。

很快，小宝的母亲赶到现场，看到儿子的遭遇，她十分气愤，于是上前和阮某理论，并发生了冲突，一番争执后，阮某将小宝的母亲推开，离开了现场。小宝的家人向警方报警，民警很快将阮某抓获。
豪豪的父亲 阮某：当时我喝酒了，情绪有点失控，别人打儿子有点气不过，跑去把别人扇了几巴掌。
阮某恶劣的行为，给9岁的小宝留下了阴影，被打后，小宝身心都受到了很大的刺激。
十堰市公安局开发区分局白浪派出所民警 常冰林：小孩被打后就特别害怕,天天哭闹,晚上不敢一个人睡觉。根据《治安管理处罚法》第四十三条规定，殴打不满十四周岁未成年人，属于殴打他人从重情节，对豪豪父亲处以行政拘留十五日，罚款伍佰元的处罚。
