The villagers began to assemble near a dried riverbed to drink water from a puddle following their superstition that it will cure coronavirus infection in central India's Madhya Pradesh on May 5. The incident took place in Johri village, located in Bamori Tehsil of Guna district.

A video witnessing the incident features the villagers gathering near a puddle in broad daylight to collect water from it into their containers to consume it to fight the Covid-19 crisis. Moreover, the locals dig around the place to accumulate more water from it.

Amid the Covid-19 health crisis, superstition has gripped the villagers of Johri village. Moreover, owing to their belief, the locals residing in the village began to gather near the Barni river to collect water in a container and drink it as a cure against the coronavirus. Furthermore, panic ensued amid these villagers as the virus began to spread into the villages, crippling them into following these notions.
