This is the adorable moment hundreds of tiny baby sea turtles raced into the ocean after they hatched.

Environment officer Robert Sanchez Cabrera said the nest was found by a local in January and they had been guarding the site since in Ilocos Sur province, the Philippines.

On February 25, the little reptiles had started to crawl out of the nest so the officers helped them reach the water safely.

They carried the sea turtle siblings in a bucket before releasing them by the shore.

Robert said: ‘It’s a great experience to see new baby turtles, especially when you see them returning to their home.’
