A cool clip shows a mum from Tennessee in the USA making the perfect bed for her 4-year-old daughter who has autism.

The footage, which was filmed back in October last year, shows Emily Bylund, 29, walking the viewer through the whole process from design to completion.

"We were working on transferring her from a crib to a bed but had a hard time finding something that would work perfectly for her and her needs," said Bylund.

"After working on DIY projects in my home and my parent's house for a few months, I decided to tackle building a house bed!" Bylund added.

"Our daughter loved it and still loves it 6 months later," Bylund concluded.

In the video, Emily documents the process of building a toddler bed for her four year old Autistic daughter.


"We were working on transferring her from a crib to a bed but had a hard time finding something that would work perfectly for her and her needs. After working on DIY projects in my home and my parent's house for a few months, I decided to tackle building a house bed!" said Emily.


"A friend sent me a concept they had found on Instagram but I could't find plans for the bed. So I sat down and designed my own. I used SketchUp to create a frame that would come apart in 5 pieces, making it easier to move. I bought all the wood, measured, cut, painted and assembled the entire thing in my parent's garage. I did get some help from my Dad a few times, holding up pieces so they wouldn't fall on my head. When the house bed was complete, I rented a Uhaul and moved the 5 pieces to my house. My husband and some family friends helped me move the pieces and assemble the house bed in our house. After it was assembled, I added some final touches to make it look more like an actual house. Our daughter loved it and still loves it 6 months later!" said Emily.
