As there is a severe shortage of vaccines, Indians are making long queues before vaccination centres. Desperate people are getting into scuffle to get vaccines sometimes creating stampede like situations ignoring Corona precautions.
Amdhra Pradesh government organised a corona vaccine camp at Zilla Parishad school in Jaggayyapeta on May 5 but they were not prepared to face the rush. People flocked in large numbers since 6 am to vaccinate and pushed each other aside to get into the vaccine room.

Communist party leader Juneboina Srinivasa Rao said there was no police or authorities to control the crowd and staged a protest. Corona virus would only spread to people who came to get vaccinated, he said. India is facing a shortage of vaccine as the government failed to anticipate the severity of the second wave and exported vaccine till as late as March 30 instead of using it to immunise Indians.
