Cyclist dies after falling into deep pit that opened up on road in China
A female cyclist died after falling into a deep pit after a road collapsed in northern China.
In the video filmed on May 13, the road beside the Dazhong Qujiang Campus Station collapsed and leaving a 5-metre-deep pit. The cyclist was riding through when the collapse happened.
She was rescued but later died in hospital. The pit has been backfilled and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
The video was filmed in Xi‘an and provided by local media.
