Thousands of people protested in several Brazilian cities against racism and police violence, a week after an anti-narco police operation that left 28 dead in a favela in Rio de Janeiro. Under the slogan " No bullets, no hunger, no covid-black people want to live!" The demonstrators, wearing masks to protect themselves from the virus, demanded an end to structural discrimination against blacks and mestizos.

They protest under the slogans: "Vidas Negras Importam" means "Black Lives Matter", "chacina + vaccina", means "less butchery, more vaccines against the Covid19", "Nem bala, nem fome, nem covid o povo negro quer viver", means "without bullets, without hunger, without covid, that's how black people want to live". Demonstrators want to end violence and structural discrimination against African Americans.
