A family in Tamil Nadu, southern India, were panicked after they found a cobra hiding in one of their speakers.

The owners of the house woke up after they thought they heard rats rummaging around.

Upon investigating further, the family located a snake taking refuge inside their speaker.

Local snake catchers were informed of the discovery and managed to remove the cobra without any injuries.

This footage was filmed on May 15 in Cuddalore.

The owner of the house and his wife and children were sound asleep.

Later that night they heard the rats making a mess in the kitchen.

Immediately everyone in the house woke up.

As they went in the direction of the sound, to drive the rat out, but only to find a cobra in the kitchen.

The alarmed snake, then entered the home theater.

On the sight of the snake they screamed and immediately informed the snake catcher team. The homeowner thanked the team for capturing the snake without any injuries.
