Container ship Torrance operates on a voyage rotation whiich links Eastern Mediterranean ports with Northern European ports, Her most recent calls were at Haifa and Ashdod (Israel), Limassol (Cyprus) and Valencia (Spain).
Torrance is a relatively old vessel, built in 2001. Her overall dimensions at 277m long, 40m beam, and at the time of arrival he draught was 12.3m. She can carry 5,510 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) of containers.
Torrance is one of many ships of her size linking Northern European countries with places which have longer agricultural growing seasons and lower wages for industrial workers, and therefore lower cost products.
