This fascinating video footage shows a diver swimming through the wreckage of a sunken Hercules aircraft.

The wreckage of the TriStar C130 commercial aircraft lies 60ft below the surface off the coast Aqaba, Jordan.

It had been parked at King Hussein International Airport for several years but was sunk in 2017 to create a tourist attraction.

Today the wreck has become a popular destination for diving enthusiasts and a home for the local wildlife including fish schools, corals and marine organisms.

One such diving enthusiast to visit the location was Spanish photographer Victor de valles ibañez.

The 33-year-old captured some otherworldly footage and videos as he swam alongside and inside the colossal wreckage.

Victor, who hails from Puigcerdá, Spain and now lives in Menorca, said: “I was on a diving trip with other guests from Spain, they where scuba diving while I was freediving.

“I was very excited to be freediving there I had never been in a airplane wreck and this one was really big and well preserved, at first I did some dive outside of the plane after checking that I can dive inside and I went down to get in through the door."
