A man, identified as Ramavat Shiva, isolated himself on a tree after having COVID-19 symptoms in southern India's Telangana on May 15. The incident took place in Nalgonda.

Visuals from the incident feature Shiva's home. The family of four people lives in a single-room house. After having COVID-19 symptoms, the family made arrangements for Shiva on a tree outside. They set up a platform on the branch at a height, and Shiva climbed up to rest. He is recovering and self-isolating on the tree.

The incident allegedly occurred due to a lack of space at Shiva's home for separate isolation. The family made arrangements on the Indian beech tree, which is said to provide abundant oxygen. The family took this new initiative fearing the lack of oxygen all over the country.
