A surprising friendship captured on film.
Prime nest-building time for this jackdaw in Buckinghamshire, England coincides perfectly with the weeks when a neighbouring Shetland pony is shedding her thick winter coat. So a little pony with a back that needs scratching, and a bird with a nest that needs lining, have struck a deal that seems to work very nicely for both of them. The pony munches happily at the grass as the big powerful bird plucks at her itchy coat, before flying off with a very full beak!
