A Crisis Management Team came up with an unusual punishment against those flouting the Covid-19 norms in central India's Madhya Pradesh on May 19. The incident took place in Chauki village, located in Rahatgarh Tehsil of Sagar district.

A video features a couple of men distributing sapling to the locals flouting the Covid-19 norms like not wearing a mask, not following social distancing, and violating the curfew rules in broad daylight. Moreover, the violators plant these in the garden while acknowledging the importance of oxygen during the pandemic. Meanwhile, the men encourage these people to plant trees while the others behold the occurrence.

Instead of physically harming the Covid-19 lockdown violators, a Crisis Management Group took the initiative to make them plant five saplings each in the Oxygen Garden as a means of punishment. The team, including a member named Aniruddh Yadav, roped in seedlings from a nursery nearby and dispersed them amid the locals. Moreover, they took this decision to make them aware of the current situation prevailing in the country and enlightened them. They also instructed them to wear a mask, follow social distancing in public, and adhere to the Covid-19 curfew norms. In this way, they would help in conserving and restoring nature.
