This is the amusing moment a giant gourami fish but a man’s bottoms while he was sitting over a pond in southern Thailand.

Footage shows the man perched next to the small concrete enclosure outside his home in Phang Nga province on February 19.

The man saw the fish but thought it was not a threat and continued to relax. Suddenly the fish jumped out from the water and lunged at his behind.

Pet owner Weerapong Langtong said: ‘I thought these kind of fish were only violent when attacking their prey. It turns out it considers everything that gets near the pond as food.’
