'Little did Alycia A know that she would come across a sea mouse during her visit to a California beach on January 28, 2018.

In this video, the filmer can be seen holding the said marine worm in her hand.

She said: "This is a sea mouse (genus: Aphrodita). They live in the ocean. They are intertidal animals so they are adapted to experience the occasional low tide and therefore, it was able to breathe while it was briefly out of water. The prickly 'legs' are used for locomotion."
