A pet cat had a face-to-face encounter with a wild bobcat through a glass door at its home in Arizona, US.

Emily Cain filmed as her cat Rox peered through the glass to see a wild bobcat staring back at him on May 10.

It's not the first time a wild cat has visited Cain's home and Rox had a similar encounter a few months ago.

I heard a sound against the front door and thought it might be a javelina, since they've been on my porch before and aren't very quiet. I looked through the window and saw that a bobcat had lied down on my welcome mat. I tried to see it more clearly by slowly lifting the blinds, but my cat was curious about what I was doing and jumped up into the window. The bobcat noticed and looked at him before sauntering off down my front walk.
