The police officials punished a group of wedding attendees and made them do frog jumps for violating the Covid-19 norms in central India's Madhya Pradesh on May 20. The incident took place in the Umari village, located in the Bhind district.

A video features the police officials punishing the Covid-19 guidelines violators. They make the locals crouch on the ground and do frog jumps. The men jump forward and move along the street in a line-like formation while the officials stand in their proximity to supervise the activity.

The police raided the wedding venue to check if the locals were adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines. However, upon witnessing that they were not, the officials punished them. There were at least 300 people present at the wedding. However, most of them fled the scene after the police arrived.

But, the police managed to round up some of them and made them do frog jumps on a street adjacent to a field. Later, the police let them off after warning them against attending any such gatherings till the pandemic-induced lockdown lifts.
