A filmer in Pleasant Ridge, eastern Canada, caught a close encounter with a young wild moose on camera, as it approached him.

The filmer, George Hachey, commented: "In this video, is a new friend at my camp. I call him Chase, after my grandson. Chase is a young 11 point bull moose that came to visit us on September 12, 2020. "

"I set one of my cameras on a tripod, and try to get the moves to come towards it, so I started calling. Looked like the plan was working, but he walked completely out of the video.

"So I told him that he was going the wrong way, and I walked back to the camera, and started walking and calling to the left so that he would come towards me in order for him to cross in front of the camera.

"The plan worked, and I was able to go to my other camera, and take a few photos of him beside the recording camera."

While all of this was going on, my daughter Louise and my grandson Chase were sitting on the steps of the Camp, for the first time, my daughter and grandson were able to watch me interact with wildlife.
