A mosque started distributing oxygen cylinders free of cost to COVID-19 patients in central India's Madhya Pradesh on May 20. The incident took place at Jama Masjid in Hatta, located in the Damoh district.

Visuals from the incident feature the people gathered for the inauguration ceremony. The organizers include members from the Muslim community and local frontline workers. Moreover, as the ceremony starts, they welcome the guests and oxygen cylinders with garlands.

The initiative was started to reduce the shortage and unavailability of oxygen cylinders in the city. While the whole country faces an acute shortage in oxygen supply, communities have joined hands to overcome the challenges together. Moreover, this incident marked the commencement of the third oxygen bank in the region.
