Animal rights protesters are threatening supply to thousands of McDonald's restaurants after they blockaded several distribution centres this morning (Sat). Animal Rebellion said they are using trucks and bamboo structures at four sites in Hemel Hempstead, Basingstoke, Coventry and Heywood, Greater Manchester, to stop lorries leaving depots. The group are demanding McDonald’s commit to becoming fully plant-based by 2025 in a bid to to "stop the climate crisis and end the suffering of animals".
