Two guys from Michigan in the USA took on the challenge this winter of playing "ice hopscotch" by leaping onto floating blocks of ice in a frozen river.

Predictably enough, things don't go completely smoothly for Weston Emery and his friend although neither man got a complete dunking in the frigid waters.

"We were cutting holes in the ice and thought it would be fun to run across it playing hopscotch. Luckily, I didn't go in completely or that could have made things worse lol," said Emery.

The amusing footage was filmed in the town of Buckley on January 14.

While everything appears to be going well in the start, Weston slips while hopping on the last block and gets one of his feet dipped in ice-cold water.
