The local police used drones for virtual patrolling and ensuring that the Covid-19 lockdown regulations are being followed properly in southern India's Telangana on May 23. The incident took place in Suryapet.

A video features the drone visuals taken from the device deployed by the local police. The drone hovers in the air and captures the skyline of the region. It also monitors the streets to ensure the proper implementation of the Covid-19 lockdown guidelines. Meanwhile, a police siren attached to the device echoes in the background, following which the locals flouting the curfew begin to hurry their way out of the region.

The Telangana government has extended the lockdown till May 30. In light of that, the police deployed drone cameras in the region to monitor the lockdown situation and to ensure the proper implementation of the Covid-19 guidelines.
