A drone view of the Kai Tak "Sports Park" costing 30 BN HK$

Drone footage of the construction site of the Kai Tak "Sports park", a new stadium being built on the location of the former Kai Tak airport, in Kowloon. Reportedly costing 30 BN HK$, this project is said to be "the most important investment of the [Hong Kong] Government in sports infrastructure in recent decades". The construction and exploitation of the project was awarded to the Kai Tak Sports Park Limited, a subsidiary of New World Development, part of the Hong Kong Chow Tai Fo*k conglomerate.

The stadium is planned to be completed by 2023, at which point it should feature a 50,000 seats stadium on 28 hectares of land with a design said to be inspired by the nickname of Hong Kong as the "pearl of orient".
