A huge fire burnt down abandoned public bikes in eastern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Baoji in Shaanxi Province on May 24, shows massive flames and black smoke rising into the air while explosions are heard.

The fire covered an area of about 300-square-metres.

Fifteen fire engines and over 80 firefighters attempted to extinguish the blaze. The fire has been put out and the cause is under further investigation.

2021年5月24日15时30分，宝鸡市消防救援支队指挥中心接到报警称，宝鸡市渭滨区姜谭路路口共享单车存放地发生火灾。支队指挥中心立即调派巨福路、广元路、新华路、新苑路特勤站，创业路卫星站共15车80余名指战员赶赴现场，全勤指挥部遂警出动。15时39分，参战力量到场。经侦查，现场为废旧共享单车存放地，部分共享单车着火，过火面积约300平方米，无人员被困。消防人员立即展开灭火救援，16时40分，现场明火已扑灭，目前，消防员正在处理阴燃部分，火灾原因还在进一步调查中。（视频由陕西台提供）
