Ramanadhapuram is a coastal district of Tamilnadu that is located near the Bay of Bengal. As the cyclone yaas is making its land fall in Odisha state its effect can be seen in this coastal district of Tamilnadu.

The gusting winds almost carry sand particles into the land and making difficult for the passerby. The wind speed is around 50km in Rameshwaram. The coconut trees in that area are also finding difficult to withstand the speed of the wind
