'Awe-inspiring footage of a rotating supercell right next to Mammatus clouds (pouch-like clouds) above Lubbock, Texas.

This dark setting in the sky became a source of heavy rain in the area.

"Here's a clear look at a Mammatus cloud formation and a large rotating supercell that spawned heavy rain, large hail, many funnel clouds, and at least one confirmed tornado," the filmer, Brian Willcutt commented. "Panning right (north), a second large supercell can be seen in the distance."

He added: "The rotation in the supercell is especially visible in the upper-left portion of the formation, and the contrast with the Mammatus clouds is a striking occurrence."

This marvelous scene was caught on camera at 8:18 pm (local time) on May 17, 2021.
