Cyclone Yaas triggered a rainstorm after it made landfall in eastern India's Odisha on May 26. The incident took place in Dhamra, located in the Bhadrak district.

Visuals feature the cyclone wreaking havoc on a petrol pump premises. Strong winds blow in the region, damaging the roof of the gas station. Later, several parts of the cover lay on the ground while the rainstorm rages on in the area. The trees bend with the gales as panic ensues among the onlookers.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the storm upgraded into a cyclonic storm and further intensified to make landfall towards the north of Dhamra and south of Balasore.

However, the Odisha government was prepared for the landfall near Bhitarkanika, Dhamra, and Chandbali and brought the regions under disaster management operations, along with Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Jajpur districts.
