Cyclone Yaas wreaks havoc, inundates residential area in Digha, West Bengal
Cyclone Yaas made its landfall today across the eastern coast of India after a depression across the Bay of Bengal caused a severe cyclonic storm.
The video shows the devastation that the cyclone has brought, as streets are seen flooded with the residential area totally submerged in the water from the sea.
Waves can be seen splashing as it continues to fill the region with water.
The residents were already evacuated hours before the cyclone as their house remains totally inundated now.
The climate is rough with strong winds and heavy rains that continued for hours.
The hardest hit was the banks of Digha in West Bengal as the cyclone proceeded further towards Odisha.
