A man unearthed several ancient silver coins while digging a plot in central India's Madhya Pradesh on May 26. The incident took place in the Cantonment police station region in Sagar.

Later, a few officials spread the silver coins on a piece of cloth and place them in several line-like formations. They also pose with the ancient money after their recovery.

A local unearthed the silver coins during excavation for the construction of a house. The coins are said to belong from the British era and have Queen Victoria's markings on them. Moreover, the current value of the coins is estimated to be Rs 20 thousand (USD 275).

According to the person who found the coins, 30 of them emerged while breaking an old house's wall. However, upon being alerted, the police officers rushed to the spot and seized the coins. Moreover, they also took the person into custody for not disclosing the incident sooner.
