A man was spotted walking past the inundated village with a cylinder on his shoulder after Cyclone Yaas triggered flash floods in eastern India's Odisha on May 26. The incident took place in Dhamra in the Bhadrak district.

A video features water furiously gushing through the region. Following this, an elderly man wades his way through the flooded region and carries a heavy cylinder all along to reach a safe place. Moreover, he struggles to cross the inundated path and takes the support of a submerged makeshift wooden platform to reach the surface. Meanwhile, gusty winds and rainfall continue to lash onto the village.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the storm upgraded into a cyclonic storm and further intensified to make landfall towards the coastal areas. However, the Odisha government was prepared for the landfall near Bhitarkanika, Dhamra, and Chandbali and brought the regions under disaster management operations, along with Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Jajpur districts.
